Terms & Conditions & Participant Waiver

1. General Information

The Nav Divyang Foundation Walkathon (“the Event”) is a community-based, non-competitive walk designed to promote inclusion, fitness, and social awareness. Participants may choose between the 2 km or 4 km route. The event is open to all ages and abilities, including persons with disabilities. Participation is voluntary. By registering, all participants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions and the Waiver below.

2. Registration & Eligibility

Registration must be completed through the official website or authorised desk before event day.
Participants must provide accurate personal and emergency contact details.
Registration fees (if applicable) are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Persons with disabilities are encouraged to participate; please inform organisers in advance if assistance is required.

3. Event Rules & Conduct

The Event is a fun walk — no timing or ranking will be recorded.
Participants must follow the designated route and directions from marshals and volunteers.
Bicycles, roller skates, or motorised devices are not permitted unless authorised for accessibility reasons.
Respect all fellow participants, spectators, and local residents.
Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour may lead to removal from the event.

4. Health & Safety

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to take part.
Consult a doctor if you have health concerns before participating.
Wear comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, and carry personal hydration.
The route may include uneven surfaces; please remain cautious at all times.
First-aid stations will be available, but immediate medical care cannot be guaranteed.
In case of severe weather or other circumstances, the organisers may postpone, modify, or cancel the event.

5. Media & Photography

The event may be photographed or filmed by the Nav Divyang Foundation and authorised partners. By participating, you consent to the use of your image, likeness, or voice in photos, videos, and media for promotional or awareness purposes without compensation. If you do not wish to appear, please inform the organisers in writing before the event.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data collected during registration will be used for event administration, emergency contact, and related communication.
The Foundation will not sell or share your information except with authorised event partners (e.g. insurance, first aid).
By registering, you agree to receive relevant event updates via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

7. Waiver of Liability & Indemnity

By registering or participating, you acknowledge that participation is at your own risk. The Nav Divyang Foundation, its trustees, officers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners (“the Organisers”) are not liable for any injury, illness, or loss of property arising from your participation. You voluntarily assume all associated risks and agree to indemnify the Organisers against any third-party claims resulting from your actions.

8. Medical Consent

In case of a medical emergency, you authorise the organisers to arrange treatment or transport as necessary and agree to bear any costs incurred.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Participant Waiver & Declaration

I wish to participate in the Nav Divyang Foundation Walkathon on 30 November 2025 at Thakur Village, Kandivali (East), Mumbai.

I have read and understood the Terms & Conditions above.
I am physically fit and voluntarily choose to participate.
I understand that this is a non-timed fun walk and I will follow all event rules and directions.
I release and discharge the Nav Divyang Foundation and its associates from any liability for injury, illness, or loss during participation.
I consent to the use of my image and participation for event promotion and awareness.
