NDF is a Non-Government Organization (NGO)- Registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, under Regn No. E-33219 (Mumbai) dated 08/06/2017.
We are not an NIOS Centre. We train students in Foundation academics. We provide complete assistance to children wishing to take the exam - through registration with Pratham-NIOS, or other centres of the parents choice.
NDF has a dedicated Vocational Training Centre. Here students are trained in designing and printing on a wide variety of gifting and utility articles, such as- T-shirts, mugs, bottles, sippers, tote bags, pouches, coasters and keychains. We also have pre-vocational classes where children make decorative articles like diyas, torans, envelopes, bags, rakhis, etc.
Nav Divyang is dedicated to all round development of your child. Besides the co curricular activities that are meant to aid learning- such as cultural celebrations, field trips, sensory play, art and craft, we also engage kids in dance and drama. NDF is also one of the few Special Ed Centres that have a dedicated Sports and Physical Fitness Programme. Besides an overall fitness regime that seeks to overcome physical challenges and boost cognition and mental health, students are exposed and trained in sports like skating, cycling, gymnastics, weight lifting, basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc.
A sum of Rs 5000 is collected for events that incur additional expenses- such as annual Day, Sports Day, etc. Other activities such as Festival celebrations, Dance and Music therapy are included in the regular fees. Students in need of Occupational and Speech Therapy can avail these sessions, at a separate fee.
All school activities are planned for the overall growth and development of your child and are compulsory. Accommodations will be made so that every child may participate in these activities, to the best of their ability.
On field trips, children are accompanied by parents wherever possible. All parent-child teams are further under the supervision of NDF’s trained staff. Field trips are also meticulously planned and multiple trips ae made to the venue, where ground staff are sensitised to the challenges and special needs of our children.
The academic year at NDF begins in June- and ends in April. We also conduct an engaging Summer Camp in the month of May, filled with fun and learning opportunities.
